References and Easter Eggs

In Marvel there are many easter eggs from other influences in cinematic pop culture. In addition, there are constant references from other marvel movies.

*Disclaimer: I am only pointing out some of the numerous easter eggs.*

Avengers Endgame
Time- 1:15
Back to the Future II
Time- 1:12

In Endgame, as Iron Man snaps his fingers, erasing the army of Thanos, Rocket (the racoon), almost gets eaten by a monster-like thing, but it dissolves. This scene almost mirrors a scene in Back to the Future II where Marty is "attacked" by a holographic shark.

Captain America: Civil War
Time- 0:09
Finding Nemo
Time- 1:10

In Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man asks who is the voice he hears through his suit, and Ant Man response, "It's your conscious, we don't talk a lot these days." This concept and dialog is clearly taken from the well known Disney movie, Finding Nemo, where Dory asks who is speaking in the dark and Marlin answers, "I'm your conscious, we haven't spoken for a while."

Galaga is a Japanese shooting arcade game made by Namco in 1981. In Avengers, there is an agent playing Galaga.

Video Games

Fortnite

Fortnite, released in 2017 by Epic Games, is current popular video game. In Avengers Endgame, there is a scene where Thor and Korg are playing Fortnite.

Direct Reference to Movies

Back to the Future

Star Wars

In Avengers Endgame, they talk about the possibility of time travel and literally refer back to the movie Back to the Future. (time- 1:13)

In Captain America: Civil War, Spiderman thinks back to the movie, Empire Strikes Back, and uses a strategy from it to take down Ant Man.

A113

Pixar

Throughout about every Pixar movie is a letter/number sequence that pops up in an easter egg kind of way, A113. This sequence is the classroom at CalArts where a lot of people who worked in Pixar started, and so they hid it into their films.

Marvel

In many Marvel production, you can spot the A113, which is most probably taken as a Pixar easter egg and reference.

Marvel is pop culture in itself. Providing easter eggs of Marvel movies in Marvel movies creates an exciting atmosphere for Marvel fans; however, the most known easter egg in every Marvel movie is the Stan Lee cameo.
